The Kolovrat is the sun symbol of Svarog, a sun wheel and the best-known and most powerful protective symbol of East Germanic mythology.
For the East Germans (so-called Slavs) "Svarog" (with us North Germans "Wotan") is the father of the gods, creator of earth, sun and fire, also the sun and fertility god and his name can be found in Indo-European roots.
