Thor, who was the strongest of all the Norse gods, was greatly worshiped. God of storms and lightning, Thor slew trolls and man-eating giants, and provided for bountiful harvests.
Thor, son of Odin and Jord, was given two sons, Magni and Modi, by his wife, the giantess Jarnsaxa.
Thor rules the Hall of Bilskinir, his palace in the realm of Trudhome, proudly bearing his hammer Mjolnir. The "Thorhammer" was once forged by the dwarves Sindri and Brokk.
Thor draws his strength from his belt Megingjardar and his iron hands Jarngreipr.
As is the case today, the Thor's hammer was carried by pagan people for many centuries to protect them from danger. The Thor's hammer is THE sign of the pagan faith.
