Kwasir's drink Dessert Wine - How the old Teutons drank it. Red wine from the wine region of the Mosel (river in Germany) refined with honey. This flavored wine-based drink has an alcohol content of 10.5% vol; 25,36 fl oz (750 ml) bottle. Recommended drinking temperature: 18-20 C °
The name of the wine is supposed to remind of the "god" Kwasir.
Kwasir is in the north. Mythology a "god" that the Ases and Wans created when they made peace. Kwasir therefore united the abilities of both gods and surpassed all beings in wisdom. Later he was killed by the dwarfs Fjalar and Galar, who mixed his blood with honey and prepared the mead, by the enjoyment of which everyone becomes a poet. After this mead had been in the possession of the giants for a while, Odin knew how to take possession of it, and has since communicated it to his favorites, the Skalden.
Fjalar and Galar lost the Kwasir-Skaldenmet to the giant Suttungr. By seduction of his daughter Gunnlöd, Odin came into possession of the potion and the Ases owed their wisdom and the people their spiritual gifts.
