As BAB-CHOME, the invisible "dark sun" is considered an earthly source of power for the supreme deity "ILU", directly connected to the divine power acting from the hereafter, which - in part - can be shared by the gods and goddesses, especially Anu, Enlil, Ea, Ishtar, and Marduk. The close relationship of this pantheon with that of the Edda has been proven, although as yet without a definitive explanation for this Mesopotamian-Germanic commonality.

One of the best-known and most beautiful depictions of the "Black Sun", placed next to the "Sun of the Day", is on the great Naram-Sin stele preserved in the Louvre in Paris. The myth of the "Black Sun" traveled from Southern Babylonia to Assyria, Persia, Phoenicia, Carthage, and Egypt. Emperor Frederick II brought an Assyrian amulet with the "Black Sun" to Europe; and this is its first tangible appearance in Europe (which, however, says nothing about whether the belief in the "Black Sun" might not have been indigenous to us in earlier Germanic times, see Mesopotamian-Germanic commonality).

Made from a piece of beech wood and stamp rubber,

Stamped symbol size: approx. 35x 35 mm.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0972/9821/9345/files/55-501-schwarze-sonne-stempel-ilu-sonnensymbol-altbabylon-nordwelt_3afebb14-6a0e-42c6-8724-6703e429046f.jpg?v=1777980185
