Mammen ax
Modeled after the famous ax of moms from the 10th century. The beautiful small ax, which may have also functioned as a throwing ax, were found during the excavation of a grave in Mammen, Denmark. The original ax currently resides in the Copenhagen National Museum in Denmark. The original ax was found near a Mammen in Jutland (Denmark).The axleaf has a silver-ornate ornamentation richly decorated in the Mammen style (more recent Jelling style).
The grave of the so-called Mammen find is dated around 970 AD. dated, that is, in the reign of Harald Blauzahn.
