Boar spear - hunting spear wild boar and deer catchers

The European boar spear reached the height of its popularity in the 16th century, when it was used for the hunting of bears and wild boars.
For over 200 years, the sow feather was considered the most popular weapon in the woods, and on the battlefields.
Although it is impossible,  the boar spear to carry hidden on the body, it is nevertheless an effective weapon, even against attackers equipped with a firearm / gun / rifle.

If you practice enough, you can easily throw the sow feather 3 or more meters away, and you could defend 90% of all armed attacks.
The boar spear ​is cold-forged carbon steel, and heat treated for its elasticity.
the blade is designed to bend rather than break.
The blade is 18,5 inch (47 cm) long and weighs 1,23 lbs (560 grams). In addition, each blade is ground and has a reinforcement that allows maximum punching power. The spearhead has an extra strong shaft with a diameter of  1,5 inch (3.8 cm) and a length of 5,25 ft (160 cm). Assembled, the boar spear is  209 cm long.

The sow feather is a traditional blank weapon for hunting. Forged from SK-5 carbon steel and equipped with a shank made of ash wood, the sow feather still represents the primordiality of the hunt.Overall length: 6,86 ft   (209 cm)
