The apple tree as a connection to the mysterious and legendary "apple island" Avalon. Avalon / Avalun comes from the Indo-European word root "aballo" meaning apple. So far it has remained a mystery whether Avalon could also be Atlantis, which sunk due to a meteorite impact (we refer here to the tradition of Plato, among other things)!
