As with the other solar festivals in the wheel of the year, a fire is lit at Midsummer in honor of the sun. In some places, fire wheels are rolled down the mountain at Ostara. Solstice customs are not only known in the Germanic tradition, but also in Scandinavia, among the Slavs (East Germanic peoples), Celts, and other cultures.

For this occasion, we at Nordwelt Versand have restocked our warehouse with the honey wine known as mead, which can be delivered immediately and at short notice. In addition, we once again have historical ceramic drinking vessels, drinking horns, and tankards to choose from. For those who would like to attend the festivities in garb, we have tunics, combat-ready swords, shields, and battle axes. Viking hair clips, brooches, Thor's hammers, and matching king chains are also available. So that it doesn't get boring, there are Viking games such as Kubb, Hnefatafl, Lewis chessmen, and runestones.
