Archaeology in Berlin and Brandenburg / Book
Published by the Archaeological Society in Berlin and Brandenburg eV in cooperation with the Brandenburg State Office for Monument Preservation and Archaeological State Museum and the State Office for Monument Preservation Berlin.
For the tenth time, archaeologists from Berlin and Brandenburg are opening the underground archives of their region in this series: Stone Age graves in Potsdam, Roman imports in Liebenberg, Slavic pits in Phöben, and a modern-era fort in Berlin-Spandau. Thematic focus also includes Slavic castles, examined both regionally and on a case-by-case basis, with new findings, for example, about the castle of Lenzen. There are also some unusual discoveries: a Bronze Age knife in a neighbor's toolbox, a whale skeleton in a Baroque fountain, and a prince in the Unteruckersee lake. How did they get there? This anniversary volume provides meticulously compiled and fascinating details.
