1 kg Himalayan salt (bucket) fine
This crystal salt was formed by the drying up of a primordial sea more than 22 million years ago.
Origin: The Salt Range is located in the Punjab province in northern Pakistan; it lies 200-300 kilometers south of the Himalayan mountain range. The vast salt deposit, located at a depth of 400-600 meters, belongs to the southwestern foothills of the Himalayas. This Salt Range was formed by the active thrusting of sedimentary sequences in the Himalayan foreland. Geologically speaking, the Salt Range is therefore part of the growing Himalayan mountain system. The Himalayan mountains were formed during the Tertiary period due to continental drift.
The crystal salt comes from the Salt Range in the Punjab province, approx. 200 km south of the Himalayas.
