Mother Earth Mother - Mother Goddess Earth Goddess Erce, bronzed figure / statue
All-Mother, Earth-Mother - Mother Goddess, Earth Goddess Erce
She is also called Erce, Erce eorþan módor (Earth Mother).
Her name is presumably of Indo-European origin, "Plth₂uih₂ meh₂tēr" = Earth-Mother: Old Indic: Prthivī mātā.
Primeval Mother, Mother of Nature and Earth, Queen of the Immortals and the Dead. She is therefore also considered a manifestation of all goddesses and gods.
Her origins go back a long way, long before the Germanic peoples knew anthropomorphic gods.
She is the mother of all life and mistress of all elements; she is the earth from which the source of life comes. She provides strength and life for nature, people, animals, and plants.
She is the personified earth and is considered one of the first deities. In Greek mythology, she is known by the name Gaia (Ge). Her name refers to the word "bearer" in relation to life.
As the world, nature, and earth goddess, as Gaia, she is THE self-fertilizing primordial mother. All life born from and through the earth is supplied with water and food by Erce.
Made and cast from polyresin (artificial stone). The figure is solid, not hollow, and coated with real bronze.
