Borre style Viking pendant made of bronze
The Borre style dates from the 9th to the 10th century and was named after the burial find of Borre in Vestfold, Norway.
Typical for this style are animal ornaments, animal heads, and knot patterns. The Borre style is also referred to as the gripping beast style. It was particularly widespread in Eastern Scandinavia.
