"Boudica" Celtic queen, statue / figure, bronzed
Boudicca the Celtic queen and military leader, also known by the names: Boudicca, Boudica, Baudicea, Boadicea, Bodvica, Bonduca
Queen and military leader who led the ultimately unsuccessful Boudiccan revolt (60/61 AD) during the early years of the Roman occupation of Britain.
Boudicca triggered the revolt due to the Romans' poor treatment of the Celtic tribes; she went down in history as the warrior queen.
With extreme brutality, they burned cities to the ground and killed all the inhabitants.
Crafted and cast from polyresin (artificial stone). The figure is solid-cast, not hollow, and coated with genuine bronze.
