Elves are nature spirits that originally come from Norse mythology. In Old Norse, they are called álfr.
Just as there are different types of humans, dwarves, giants, and fairies, there are also numerous types of elves.
For example, there are flower elves, whose task it is to support plants in their growth. Other elves are there for small animals and insects, while still others work with medicinal herbs.
