Fenris Wolf in chains, figurine / statue made of artificial stone (polyresin)
The Fenris wolf (Fenrir, Fenris, Fenrisúlfr) is the first child of the god Loki in Norse mythology.
Depicted here is the Fenris wolf bound by the war god Tyr. The harder Fenris pulled at the shackle, the tighter it drew. The wolf remained bound, but then bit off the right hand of Tyr, which he had placed in the Fenris wolf's mouth as a pledge. Through this, the world of the gods was saved by the god Tyr, who was known as both the god of war and of the Thing assembly.
Crafted and cast from polyresin (artificial stone).
