Germanic ceremonial belt - long belt black
Germanic ceremonial belt inspired by the find from the ship burial at Sutton Hoo.
Magnificent belts were part of the representative clothing of Anglo-Saxons and Germanic tribes.
The Germanic ceremonial belt is inspired by the historical original from the Sutton Hoo find, without entirely following it.
Our Sutton Hoo belt is a creative interpretation that follows the Germanic design language of Anglo-Saxon culture and combines the belt plate of the original buckle with the raven fittings of the Sutton Hoo bag into a successful symbiosis.
Matching fittings are attached to both sides of the belt. These are not only highly decorative, but their weight also ensures that the buckle always sits centered on the garment. This allows the magnificent buckle to be displayed to its best advantage.
Germanic ornate buckles, like the Sutton Hoo belt buckle, were often made of silver, frequently gilded, and sometimes even crafted from pure gold. Our Sutton Hoo buckle is made of Zamak metal. This alloy withstands the rigors of camp life and is equally suitable for everyday use.
The 5 cm wide Sutton Hoo belt is made of high-quality, vegetable-tanned cowhide leather of the best quality, 3 - 3.5 mm thick, and is available in black with a silver-colored Zamak metal buckle.
The Sutton Hoo luxury belt is 5 cm wide.
