The Wheel of the Year 2018 - A Pagan Journey

The journey to our roots and the heritage of our ancestors continues - this year with a focus on the nature of our homeland.

The front pages include the calendar as well as the lunar cycle, which can be read down to the day. The months are accompanied by photographs of nature scenes and pagan sites. Naturally, the overview of holidays is also included, and these are listed on the back.

The reverse sides will feature photographs of our beautiful natural surroundings. The origins of pagan tradition are, and always have been, inspired by nature, and this will be the central theme this year. In addition, the introductory guides and the Icelandic calendar, which will have a special feature in 2018, will continue to be included. Another topic will be Anglo-Saxon runes.

The calendar is intended to encourage reflection and rediscovery, allowing us to experience the past and repressed memories anew. This can be achieved through the old names of the months and days of the week, or through the corresponding festivals. The calendar is based on our Celtic-Germanic roots; you won't find any Christianized holidays here (most of them were simply repurposed anyway). Even though it may seem like a journey into the past, the movements of the sun and moon haven't changed, so this calendar isn't from yesterday, but rather a part of our present time.
