Hagal rune crystal, clear lead crystal (diameter 40 mm)

Hagal rune (ice crystal) pendant, exclusive craftsmanship, clear transparent lead crystal, finely cut edges.

The Hagal rune ( H ) is the mother of all runes. It stands for destruction, but also for new beginnings. The Hagal rune acts as both a protective rune and an offensive rune. The Hagal crystal also symbolizes hail, which shatters and then opens. The Hagal rune is called the "Winter Rune": its cold cleanses and heals with all its harshness. On the other hand, it can also appear gently. It simultaneously represents the soft snowflake or the hard ice crystal. The Hagal rune is the symbol of "Frau Holle": as a snowflake, it falls on Midgard, and thus stands for change and the beginning of a new era.
It is the eighth in the runic series in the younger 16-rune Futhark (in the medieval, Norwegian, Danish and Swedish Futhark), also known as the Viking Futhark or Old Norse runic series.
We also find it as the eighth rune in the 18-rune Armanen Futhark.
All the runes of the younger Old Norse runic series can be formed from the hexagon - which is no coincidence, but will have arisen from ancient knowledge.
Rune experts who have worked with the 16-rune, 18-rune and 24-rune Futhark know very well what power emanates from the Hagal rune ( H ). Everyone must decide for themselves which runic series they can work with best.

In the older 24-rune Futhark, as well as in the Gothic Futhark, the Hagal rune is the ninth in the runic series. The Hagal rune, also known as the Hagalaz rune ( h ), does not have the typical crystal shape in the 24-rune Futhark!

In an Old English rune song or rune poem, the Hagal rune ( H ) is described as follows:

Hægl byþ hwitust corna;
hwyrft hit of heofones lyfte,
wealcaþ hit windes scura;
weorþeþ hit to wætere syððan.

Translated:
Hail is the whitest of grains:
it falls from the heavens' air
is swept by the wind's squalls,
and then turns to water.

The Hagal rune ( H ) as the mother of all runes, as a symbol for the primal mother / goddess mother, who is also known to us by the name "Frau Holle". She embodies All in One, the "Perfect" All, the Universe and EVERYTHING.
Standing at the center of all runes with their various meanings and power emanations, the Hagal rune is the embodiment of the primal mother / goddess mother!

The rune can be used in many ways, as a jewelry pendant, for decoration in the window, or for special holidays. Also ideal as a gift idea! There is a tiny hole in the top of the crystal for threading a wire or string.

  • Made from 30 percent lead crystal.
  • Size: 40 x 40 mm.
