Rattan is suitable for bow making because it possesses special elasticity and robustness; it is extremely flexible and resilient. Due to these positive properties, rattan is not only used in archery but also for making sticks for traditional martial arts. In stick-on-stick combat, rattan has the decisive advantage that it does not splinter but only frays. This significantly reduces the risk of injury in these martial arts. Dark natural color with leather grip. Max. draw length: 27", The longbow is available here with 25, 30, 35, and 40 lbs. The bow has a maximum draw length of 28 inches.
The string on the bow is a 12-strand Dacron string for the 25lb, 30lb, 35lb bows. For the 40lb bow, it's a 14-strand Dacron string! A suitable Dacron string is included in the delivery.
On request, we can also supply the bow with other draw weights, ranging from 15 to 40 lbs in 5 lb increments.
