After the gods had killed Skadi's father, Thiazi, she traveled to Asgard to demand atonement for his death. She demanded a husband and that she be made to laugh. The first request was granted on the condition that she choose her future husband solely by his feet. Thus, Skadi chose Njörðr by his feet, although she had hoped for Baldur. The second request was fulfilled by Loki, who made her laugh with a goat. He tied his testicles to the goat's chin beard with a rope and began a kind of tug-of-war. Overwhelmed by this silly sight, Skadi burst into roaring laughter. With that, she was reconciled with the Æsir. Odin himself made further amends by throwing her father's eyes into the sky, where they henceforth sparkled as two stars.
The marriage with Njörðr did not go well - Skadi loved the mountains, while Njörd loved the sea. So they agreed to spend 9 nights in each place, but this solution was not successful. Skadi was bothered by the cries of the seabirds and Njörd by the howling of the wolves. So Skadi returned to Thrymheim, where she enjoyed hunting with her bow.
Later, she fastened a poisonous snake above Loki's head because he had insulted her with vile slanders.

Made and cast from polyresin (artificial stone). The figure is fully cast and coated with real bronze.
