Pillar candle with Thor's hammer, royal blue candle with Skåne Thor's hammer
Candle with Skane Thor's Hammer
Thor, who was the strongest of all Old Norse gods, was highly revered. As the god of storms and lightning, Thor slew trolls and man-eating giants, and ensured good harvests.
Thor, son of Odin and Jord, was gifted two sons, Magni and Modi, by his consort, the giantess Jarnsaxa.
Thor rules in the hall of Bilskirnir, his palace in the realm of Thrudheim, and he proudly carries his hammer, Mjölnir. The "Thor's Hammer" was once forged by the dwarves Sindri and Brokk.
Thor derives his strength from his belt, Megingjardar, and his iron gauntlets, Jarngreipr.
Just as today, the Thor's Hammer was worn for many centuries by pagan people for protection against danger. The Thor's Hammer is THE symbol of the pagan faith.
