Wall relief Thor's hammer carved from fruitwood and stained

Thor's Hammer wall relief - hand-carved from fruitwood and treated (stained).

Thor's mighty hammer Mjolnir, which commands the primal energy of the storm.
Thor, the strongest of all Old Norse gods, was highly revered.
As the god of storms and lightning, Thor slew trolls and man-eating giants and ensured good harvests.
Thor, the son of Odin and Jord, was gifted two sons, Magni and Modi, by his consort, the giantess Jarnsaxa.
Thor ruled in the hall of Bilskinir, his palace in the realm of Thrudheim, and proudly carried his hammer Mjolnir.
The "Thor's Hammer" was once forged by the dwarves Sindri and Brokk.
Thor draws his strength from his belt Megingjard and his iron gauntlets Jarngreipr.
As today, the Thor's Hammer has been worn for many centuries by people of the Norse faith for protection against danger and/or hung in the home as a symbol of protection.
