For barbecues, festive dining, Germanic weddings - traditional Germanic weddings,
smoked salt as a gift idea for marriage / marital union.
Aromatic smoke, fire, intense seasoning – these impressions are conveyed by the appearance and aroma of what is arguably the finest Danish smoked salt variety of today. Incidentally, only about 5% of all smoked salt types are actually smoked. Most smoked salts are flavored with smoke essences.
Our smoked salt is made exclusively from Dead Sea salt and smoked in the Viking manner – over low-pollutant Danish chestnut wood.
The salt smoked with chestnut wood is popular with many of our customers because of its soft palate and savory taste with many aromatic nuances. The salt is smoked at 65-85 degrees in a long and costly process in specially developed ovens.
Using this salt gives a hint of how the Nordic peoples obtained their salt. Seawater or brine was poured onto burning logs. The water evaporated, and the precipitated salt adhered to the charred logs. The salt was scraped from the wood and could be used.
Viking smoked salt is excellent for:
Eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, fish, and all kinds of meat. It gives steak its special flavor of meat prepared over fire – even if it's cooked in the oven.
The shelf life is almost unlimited. The salt container should always be kept tightly closed so that the smoky aroma is not lost.
This smoked salt contains no anti-caking agents, flavor enhancers, or other additives. 6% Na, 13% K, 9% Mg0., 4% Ca, 46% Cl0, 5% Br0, 4% Carbonate, smaller amounts of Ammonium, Sr, Mn, Fe, F, I, Sulfate.
