Viking belt, long belt in Borre style, brown leather belt

Narrow Viking belt with strap end based on a Norwegian find.

The Viking belt is fitted with a strap end and buckle in the Borre style, based on a find from the 9th – 10th century.
The belt buckle and strap end on this Viking belt, which is only 1.5 cm wide, are inspired by a Norwegian find in the Borre style, one of the seven great art styles of the Viking Age.
The belt strap is made of vegetable-tanned cowhide with a thickness of 2 – 2.5 mm and is perfect for historical attire in LARP and Viking reenactment.
Two embossed lines along the edges of the strap further emphasize the elegant shape of this narrow Viking belt.
The Borre style is also known as the gripping-beast style and was a widely used stylistic epoch of Viking Age art from the 9th to the 10th century. The Borre style was named after the village of Borre in the Norwegian municipality of Horten, located on the western shore of the Oslofjord. Characteristic of the Borre style are its animal and knot ornaments, which can be found on numerous pieces of jewelry from the Viking Age. The Borre style is one of the earlier of the seven great Viking art styles and was replaced by the Jelling style over the course of the 10th century.
The belt is long enough to be worn knotted. The belt circumference can also be easily adjusted by adding more holes with a leather punch.
One size: width 1.5 cm, for waist sizes 92 – 107 cm, length 165 cm.
Price per long belt.
