The Wolf Cross / Wolf Hammer is a Viking Age symbol that was found in Foss, Iceland. The Wolf Cross was found in 1910 on a barren piece of land in Foss in Hrunamannahreppur (in Árnessýsla, the Suðurland region in southern Iceland). The pendant is dated to approximately the 10th century.
The hammer was created during a time of great religious upheaval, intellectual ambiguity characterized by pagan and Christian influences.
The Thor's hammer is decorated with ornaments on both sides.
