1 kg Himalayan salt (bucket) fine
This crystal salt was formed by the drying up of a primordial sea more than 22 million years ago.
Origin: The Salt Range is located in the province of Punjab in northern Pakistan; it lies 200-300 kilometers south of the Himalayan mountain range. The huge salt deposit, 400-600 meters deep, is part of the southwestern foothills of the Himalayas. This Salt Range was formed by the active thrusting of sedimentary sequences in the foreland of the Himalayas. Geologically, the Salt Range is therefore part of the growing Himalayan mountain system. The Himalayan mountains were formed during the Tertiary period by continental drift.
The crystal salt comes from the Salt Range in the province of Punjab, about 200 km south of the Himalayas.
